We are writing to inform you of an industry-wide price adjustment that will affect the cost of some telephony, broadband and data services.
We appreciate that any price increases and unwelcome. However, these adjustments are industry-wide and unavoidable for all providers who depend on BT and other national wholesale networks for supply.
Why are prices changing?
National network and wholesale providers including BT Openreach, Gamma, BT Wholesale, Zen and Giacom have implemented regulatory and wholesale price increases that affect all service providers operating across the UK communications market.
These adjustments follow either regulatory changes or updated cost frameworks across the sector which have impacted on the underlying wholesale charges for legacy broadband, telephony, data, and associated network services and as result our cost.
A significant factor behind these changes is the nationwide withdrawal of traditional copper-based services, which BT Openreach has scheduled for completion in 2027 as the UK transitions to full-fibre and all-IP networks. In preparation for this switch-off, Openreach and other national suppliers are increasing charges on legacy copper products ahead of their retirement, while investing heavily in next-generation fibre infrastructure. This industry-wide shift directly impacts on the wholesale costs associated with copper-based broadband and telephony services and these adjustments are reflected in the updated pricing.
What this means for you
In accordance with our contract (Clauses 10.13 and 10.14), where our third-party suppliers increase their charges or where regulatory changes occur we are permitted to adjust our prices to reflect the additional costs imposed on us.
We have attached a new pricing matrix that clearly sets out the updated charges for each of the services affected, which reflect the wholesale increases applied by our suppliers. This matrix provides a full breakdown of each service category and the associated adjustments.
No changes to your contract or services
This change does not change the terms of your agreement as the increases arise directly from either regulatory or supplier-imposed cost adjustments it means your contract does not provide a right to cancel.
As you waived your right to be treated as a Small Business or SOHO customer your agreement follows our standard business-grade terms which were agreed with you to provide the most competitive pricing and service and therefore your services and contractual commitments continue unaffected.
Our commitment to transparency
If you have any questions about the attached pricing matrix or how this affects your account, please contact us here and we will be happy to talk things through.
